How to play Beat Runner

Goal

Guide the cube to the end of each level. It moves on its own, so all you control is when it jumps.

  1. 1Pick a level or endless mode and press Start.
  2. 2Tap, click or press Space to jump. Hold to keep jumping as soon as you land.
  3. 3Spikes end the attempt. You can land on top of blocks but not run into their sides.
  4. 4Yellow pads launch you automatically. Rings in the air need a tap while you pass through them.
  5. 5Turn on Practice to drop checkpoints and learn a level section by section.

Beat Runner tips and strategy

  • Jump at the last safe moment before a spike. Early jumps often land you on the next one.
  • Hold the jump button through long runs of single spikes. The cube jumps again as soon as it lands.
  • Rings only work while you are touching them, so tap as the cube passes through, not before.
  • Pads launch you on their own. Do not jump on a pad unless you need extra height afterward.
  • Use Practice to learn the hard parts, then play the full level once it feels automatic.
  • Watch the shape ahead, not the cube. Patterns repeat, and spotting them early makes timing easy.

About Beat Runner

Beat Runner is a one-touch rhythm platformer in the style of Geometry Dash. A spinning cube races forward on its own, and the only thing you control is when it jumps. Spikes end an attempt instantly, blocks can be landed on but not run into, yellow pads fling you high, and glowing rings in the air give a second jump if you tap at the right moment.

There are three handcrafted levels that grow from a gentle warm up to a tight, fast course, plus an endless mode that builds new obstacles as you go. Each attempt shows how far you got as a percentage, and the attempts counter keeps climbing until you finally reach the end. Practice mode drops checkpoints as you play, so you can learn a hard section without starting over each time.

An optional beat plays along with the run. It is made live in your browser from simple tones, starts muted and can be switched on with the sound button. The daily level is generated from the date, so everyone gets the same course each day.

Beat Runner FAQ

Is Beat Runner the same as Geometry Dash?

No. It is an original game inspired by the same one button idea, with its own levels, art and music.

How does practice mode work?

In practice mode a checkpoint is saved every few seconds while you are on the ground. When you crash, you restart from the last checkpoint.

Why is there no sound?

The beat is off by default. Press the sound button above the game to turn it on.

What does the percentage mean?

It shows how far through the level you got. Reaching 100 percent completes the level.

Does endless mode ever end?

No. Endless keeps building new obstacles and slowly gets harder. Your score is the distance you cover.
