How to play Maze Chaser

Goal

Eat every dot in the maze without getting caught, and score as many points as you can.

  1. 1Steer through the maze and eat every dot to clear the level.
  2. 2Avoid the four chasers. Each one hunts you in its own way.
  3. 3Eat a big power pellet to turn the chasers blue, then catch them for bonus points.
  4. 4Grab the fruit that appears under the center house for extra points.
  5. 5Use the side tunnels to escape. Each new level is a little faster.

Maze Chaser tips and strategy

  • Press your next direction early. Turns are buffered, so you will take the corner the moment it opens.
  • Save power pellets until chasers are close. Catching several in one pellet doubles the bonus each time, up to 1,600 points.
  • Use the side tunnels to escape. Chasers slow down inside them while you keep full speed.
  • Watch for the blue chasers to flash white. That means the power is about to wear off.
  • Clear the far corners first, while the board is busy, and leave the easy middle dots for later.
  • Stay away from the center house when a new chaser is about to leave it.

About Maze Chaser

Maze Chaser is a fast maze game in the spirit of the arcade classics. You guide a hungry yellow hero through a glowing maze, eating every dot while four chasers try to corner you. Clear the board and the next maze starts a little faster, so every level asks for sharper turns and better planning.

Each chaser has its own personality. Blaze, the red one, heads straight for you. Pinky tries to cut you off by aiming a few tiles ahead of where you are going. Drift patrols its own corner and only gives chase when you wander close. Wobble picks its turns at random, which makes it hard to predict. The chasers also switch between scattering to their corners and hunting you, and they all turn blue and run when you eat a power pellet.

Our version has three original maze layouts with side tunnels, power pellets in every corner and a bonus fruit that appears under the center house. It runs in your browser on phone or desktop with swipe and keyboard controls, buffered turns and three difficulty levels. The daily run gives everyone the same maze order, so you can compare scores with friends.
