Goal

Fly as far as you can through the cave without touching the walls or the blocks.

Helicopter tips and strategy

  • Use short taps instead of long holds. Small corrections keep you level.
  • Start climbing a little before the cave bends upward, because the chopper takes time to change direction.
  • Stay near the middle of the tunnel so you have room to react either way.
  • Look ahead to the next block, not at your helicopter.
  • When the cave gets tight, keep a gentle rhythm of taps rather than big swoops.

About Helicopter

Helicopter is a one button flying game set inside an endless cave. Hold to make your little red chopper climb and let go to let it drop. That is the whole control scheme, and it is surprisingly hard to master because your helicopter keeps its momentum and the cave never stops twisting.

Games like this were a favorite of early web arcades, and the idea still holds up. The cave starts wide and calm, then narrows as you go, with blocks hanging in the middle of the tunnel to steer around. The speed rises steadily, so a stretch that felt easy at the start becomes a real test of nerve later on.

Your score is the distance you fly, measured in meters. A smoke trail follows your path, and every 500 meters you get a little celebration. Play with the mouse, the Space bar or a finger on your phone, choose Easy, Medium or Hard, or take on the daily cave that every player flies that day.
