Neon Rider tips and strategy
- Build speed before every pink ramp. A slow approach is the most common reason to fall short of a gap.
- Lean forward slightly on the way up a ramp to stop the bike from flipping back on takeoff.
- Match the bike's angle to the slope you are landing on. Landing on both wheels keeps your speed.
- Start a flip early in the jump. If you are not around by the time you drop, stop leaning and level out.
- Use the brake on steep downhills before a staircase so you do not bounce your head off the steps.
- Hold lean back on flat ground to ride a wheelie. It is a good way to practice the feel of the controls.
About Neon Rider
Neon Rider is a physics bike game set on a glowing line in a retro synthwave night. You control the throttle, the brake and how your rider leans, and the track keeps going for as long as you can stay on it. Rolling hills, steep kickers, staircases and ramps over open gaps appear in an order that is different every run.
The bike behaves like a real two wheeled machine. Gas pushes the rear wheel, braking slows you down, and leaning shifts the weight so you can pop a wheelie, lower the nose for a landing or spin in the air. Land with your head on the track, or drop into a gap, and the run ends.
Points come from distance and from tricks. A full rotation in the air earns a flip bonus, two in one jump pay three times as much, and long airtime adds a big air bonus. Easy mode makes the gaps shorter, while Hard makes them longer and more frequent. The daily track is the same for every player, so it is a fair way to compare runs.
Neon Rider FAQ
How do you do a flip in Neon Rider?
Jump off a ramp or kicker and hold lean back or lean forward. When you complete a full turn and land on your wheels you get a flip bonus.
Why did I crash?
A run ends when the rider's head touches the track or the bike falls into a gap. Landing upside down is the usual cause.
Is the track the same every time?
No. The track is generated as you ride. The daily track is the exception: it is the same for everyone on that date.
How do I play on a phone?
Use the buttons below the game. The left pair leans the bike back and forward, and the right pair is brake and gas.
Is this like Line Rider?
It shares the glowing line look, but Neon Rider is a motorbike game where you control the rider in real time.
