  3. 3Hitting with the edge of the paddle sends it at a sharper angle.

Paddle Ball tips and strategy

  • Hit the ball with the edge of your paddle to send it at a steep angle that is hard to return.
  • Return to the middle after each hit so you can reach both ends.
  • The ball speeds up after every hit, so stay focused in long rallies.
  • Against the computer, aim steep shots. It follows the ball but can be caught out by sharp angles.
  • In two player mode, the left player uses W and S and the right player uses the up and down arrows.

About Paddle Ball

Paddle Ball is a table tennis video game in the style of the earliest arcade hits. Each player controls a paddle on one side of the screen and returns a ball back and forth. If the ball gets past your paddle, your opponent scores. First to 7 points wins.

Table tennis was one of the very first video game ideas. Pong reached arcades in 1972 and helped launch the whole video game industry. Our free version lets you play against a computer opponent or a friend on the same keyboard.
