About Word Scramble
Word Scramble shows you the letters of a common word in mixed up order. Your job is to rearrange them into a real word. Any real word that uses every letter counts, not only the one we picked. A round has 10 words of five to seven letters.
Scrambled word puzzles, often called jumbles, have appeared in newspapers for decades and are a classic way to practice vocabulary. Our free version adds a streak, a score and a hint that reveals the next letter for a small cost.

- Look for common word endings first, such as ING, ED, ER, LY and TION.
- Find common letter pairs like TH, CH, SH, ST and QU and place them together.
- Put vowels and consonants in alternating spots to see shapes of real words.
- Use Shuffle to see the letters in a new order. It often triggers the answer.
- Hints cost 25 points, so try a shuffle or two before using one.
- Skipping ends your streak, so give each word a fair try first.
