About Color Guess
Color Guess tests your eye for color. You see an RGB code, three numbers for the red, green and blue light that make up a color on a screen. Pick the swatch that matches. Get it right on the first try to build your streak.
RGB codes are used by designers and developers every day. The game is a fun way to learn how the numbers relate to real colors. Choose Easy with three swatches or Hard with six. As your streak grows, the wrong swatches get closer to the right one.
It is a quick, visual brain teaser that works on any screen. Tap a swatch on a phone or click on a computer.
Many people are surprised how hard it is to picture a color from its numbers at first, and how quickly they improve with practice. After a few rounds you will start to recognize warm, cool, light and dark colors from the code alone. Arcade Pantry is free to play with no sign up and no download. Color Guess tips and strategy
- Find the biggest of the three numbers. That channel will dominate the color.
- High values in all three channels mean a light color, and low values mean a dark one.
- Red plus green makes yellow, green plus blue makes cyan, and red plus blue makes magenta.
- If two numbers are close and the third is low, look for a mix of those two.
- Turn your screen brightness up for the hardest streaks.
